Snow Day!!!

We had our first East Texas snow day! It was pretty fun.

Before we headed out into the snow, we made rice crispy treats. Yum!

We're ready!

Mason's first snow

Max loved scooping up the snow and throwing it...everywhere.
I liked making snowballs and throwing them at Mommy.

Here I am running because I know what's coming! :)
Watch out for Mommy!
I loved the snow, now bring back the Texas sun!

Yeehaw....

Max is in a cowboy phase right now (Mommy hopes he never grows out of it). He loves horses. He says "yeehaw" all the time. So, Mommy and Daddy really made his day over Christmas when they took us to meet Gidget.

Gidget is Aunt Rhonda's horse. We got to ride her and everything!

After we gave her treats, we got to brush her.

Max was ready to ride (he has Mommy's patience)

He was so happy.

I rode with him.

We had so much fun together.

This is my great grandmother, Mammaw. Isn't she pretty? I had fun playing around.
Mommy rode with Maxer.
I caught a ride with her too!

Max and I hanging around.

Aunt Rhonda put Max to work (ha ha!)

Posing for a picture.

I finally found a cat who would give me the time of day!

We had such a fun afternoon with Mammaw, Aunt Rhonda and Gidget. Thanks again and Yeehaw!

Christmas Twenty-Ten

Time for photos folks! I had a GREAT Christmas! This was the first year I really got excited about it all. There were things on my Christmas list (oh boy were there), and I was so excited to leave cookies for Santa and celebrate Jesus' birthday! We had an eventful Christmas. Here's a recap.

A few days before Christmas, Mason actually had to be admitted to the hospital. He has asthma like me and Max, but he also got pneumonia and parainfluenza 3. He was still all smiles though.

While Mason was in the hospital, we did Christmas with Mimi and Pepaw. Daddy and Mason missed it so we were kind of sad. I managed to keep Max from opening all of their presents until Mason came home. Christmas with my cousins was still really fun though!

Mitchell cousins

Stocking time

Maxer really got the hang of opening presents.

I got "Evil Dr. Porkchop!" (definitely on the list!)

Uncle Toby helped us get our presents out of the box so Mommy could keep taking pictures.

Max got Dance Star Mickey (definitely on HIS list!)

Mimi got all of the boys Criss Cross Crash to stay at her house

We had a great time with that game.

Mason came home after 5 days in the hospital, and it was time to head to Granny and Pop's in South Texas. We were so excited to see Granny and Pop.

We missed "Mammaw's Christmas" since Mason was in the hospital. So we got to open presents as soon as we got to Granny and Pop's! I got the Imaginext Spaceship (on the list!) and I was SOOOOO excited.

I showed Maxer how it works.
Then, we put out cookies for Santa. It wasn't really Christmas Eve, but we pretended it was. Mommy said that Santa knew we wanted for him to wait until the whole family was together to bring us our presents. So he did and we were his ONLY delivery that night! Isn't that special?
The next morning we woke up to.....PRESENTS! And lots of them. I was so so so excited about my Batman castle. See...

Max just wanted to "open" everything (meaning take it out of the package).

I let him play with the Joker castle too.

Mommy and Daddy made sure they kept Mason well and out of the hospital.
Cheese! Mommy has us training early.

I got a Leapster too. This has been a very exciting toy for me. I like all of the learning games.

Mason had fun with his new toys too.

Look- we caught Mommy in FRONT of the camera! :)

Mommy and Mason enjoying the sock monkey from Mimi.

Mason and Uncle Justin (He's so funny!)

Mason's First Christmas. Isn't he cute?

I like Granny and Pop's train.

Enjoying our new stuff!

Even though we did not celebrate Christmas on the actual day, we remembered that being with family and being thankful for Jesus is really what the season is all about. It was great!

Get Wrapped Buddy

So as you may have seen, my littlest bro has to wear a helmet for a few months. It's not a hideable thing, but thankfully this great group "wrapped" it for free for him. This amazing organization, called wrapbuddies, wraps kids' prosthetics and other medical equipment for free so it's more fun for the kids.
When Mason went to his wrap party to get his helmet done, a Dallas news station was there to do a story. Mason and Daddy made the clip. Here's the link:

Check out the story. THANK YOU wrapbuddies. You made Mason's helmet look awesome.
