Miles' Max's Bedtime Bible Commentary- Sort of...

Mommy loves it when I recall something from one of our Bible stories, but I think she sometimes wonders how much of it is sinking in for Maxer. He's still kind of small you know. But last night it was Max's turn to pick the bedtime story, and we were reading Ferdinand.

again...

when Mommy got to this page and said "Ferdinand grew and grew until he was very big and strong..." Max said "like Sampson!!!"

Guess he is paying attention. :)

I'm counting that as Max's first Bedtime Bible Commentary!

Summer Fun

It's getting hot here in the Lone Star State, but we are finding ways to keep cool.

We have spent a lot of time in this pool!

All of us. :)

My buddy Collier came over Sunday for a play date. We took the cars to the neighborhood playground.

Mommy and Mason tackling the slide.

We really liked this club house.

Mommy brought us juice (which we pretended was "Dr Pepper" and "Coke Zero." Here we are toasting.

Cheers!

I hope you're finding ways to stay cool this hot summer.

Happy 4th Friends

I hope you are all having a great 4th of July. We spent today with friends...great friends. Daddy and Dr. Ben went to play golf this morning, so we went to play with Cullen and Grayson. We had a great time.

We had a pizza lunch.

Mason was pretty happy about that.

Mason and his future wife, NG, had a big time playing together.

The big boys played outside. Water, mud, toys, what more could 4 boys ask for?

Adorable Mrs. Leslie made these yummy patriotic treats.

When the golfers returned, we went out to dinner. Only one couple asked to move tables at the site of 6 children 6 and under. ;)

Thanks Bunts for a great day!

Witts End Ranch

Saturday we had a celebration with Mimi's family at Witts End Ranch. I love this place. It was made for kids like me.

...and Mason. He loved the swing.

They have a great hill you can ride down. We had races.

This is my favorite. The sand box.

Austin and Mason.

One of the cool tree forts.

They have turtle races.

We cooled off the turtles with water guns.

Then we fed the goats.

I really liked this seesaw.

So did Maxer.

There were so many great things to climb on.

Aunt Melissa hanginig out with us on the hay ride.

Can you belive that I am related to ALL of these people?

look at this cool maze.

It was time to ride the big zip line. I said "NO THANK YOU," but Maxer was definitely in.

Ready to go.

And he's off.

Ready for more.

Mommy didn't get a "before" picture, so here we are after a fun (and dirty) day.

Then we headed to Uncle Toby and Aunt Melissa's for some swimming.

A pool full.

Mimi got a watermelon cake.

It was tasty.

We had a great 4th of July weekend with friends and family. I hope you did too!
