Maxer's First Day of Pre-K

Today was Max's first day back at Sunshine Friends. Doesn't he look like such a big boy?

His teacher is Ms. Pam. She was my teacher last year. She is super sweet. Max had a good first day. It was the first time he went to Sunshine Friends without me, but he was a big boy!

I'm so excited for my first day next week.

Mesquite Rodeo

Saturday Mommy and Daddy decided to load us up for a road trip to the Mesquite Rodeo. We were quite a site with 4 kids 5 and under, but we got gussied up in our finest western wear and went to see what the fuss was all about. This was not my first rodeo (ha ha), but it was for the rest of the boys.

cheese!

We settled in after signing up for the random drawing for mutton busting.

This rodeo has lots of kid friendly stuff too. Life face painting.

Cowboy Spiderman? Sign me UP!

Correction, sign us both up.

And speaking of signing up, after doing just that, Maxer and I BOTH got drawn to participate in mutton busting. Never heard of it? Well, its where little kids (3-6) get to ride a sheep. It's pretty fun.

Here we are getting the pep talk before heading to the arena. Yes, the big arena...where we ride sheep in front of everyone...fast sheep. Mommy took videos with her iphone, but we can't figure out how to upload it here. I'll keep trying!

But since I'm sure the suspense is killing you....success! We both rode the sheep, and we both got trophies. Max almost won the whole thing. He missed it by about one sheep length.

After mutton busting, we headed back to our seats with our new trophies and light up swords (perfectly appropriate for a rodeo don't you think?"

We had a great time. I cannot wait to go back.

Maddox is 5 Months Old

On August 6, Maddox turned 5 months old. What a big boy. It's hard to believe we are nearing the half year mark with this kiddo. He's a great little brother (especially right now because he doesn't make me share and he doesn't ruin my toys).

Here are some Maddox fun facts:

At his 4 month appointment, which was really a 4 1/2 month appointment, Maddox weighed 15 1/2 pounds. He was 27 1/2 inches long. That put him 40% for height, and 92% for length! He's long and lean.

Maddox finally started consistently sleeping through the night this month. Woohoo screams Mommy! He still sleeps on his tummy, and he looks up and peeks over his bed when he wakes up.

I love him. That is all.

This month we started solids. Maddox was staring us all down at the dinner table, so we decided it was time to let him participate. He loves food. So far he loves everything he has tried.

He's a great baby with a fun smile. We don't remember what life was like without him.

Love you buddy!

The End Of The Longhorns

I let Mommy type that title and boy was she happy! But not because t-ball is over. She really liked that. It's just that nightly washing and folding of the burnt orange uniform that I don't think she'll miss. :)

We ended our season with a pool party. It was super fun.

Here's my team.

Max tried to take my trophy. They were really great trophies so who can blame him?

Our coach said I was the fastest kid on the team.

With my trophy.

Go Team.

Our coach's gift.

It was a great season. I can't wait until next year! (Maybe I'll get to be an Aggie-whoop)
