We started off our Disney trip with Animal Kingdom. What a great park. Rides, animals, everything a kid could hope for.
Ready to hit the park!
A short tram ride into the parks and we were off.
We love Granny.
Right when we got inside we saw Lilo and Stitch!
We REALLY liked them.
After a few photos and autographs...
We caught the Lion King show. It was VERY good.
Next it was time for our very first ride- the Safari Ride! We used our fast pass and had zero wait. Maxer rode with Pop.
I rode with Granny!
We saw lot of animals. Look at these hippos.
But the coolest part was seeing these giraffes. They got so close to the safari car. They were blocking the road so we had to wait for them.
See the giraffe right behind Granny and Max?
I think Mason liked the giraffes too.
We saw this cool family of elephants.
after that it was time to head to the bone yard.
The bone yard is this cool maze of slides and ropes that you can play on.
Wee....
Mason liked it because he could roam free. He had on shoes for about 5 seconds today until he ripped them off.
Exploring the bone yard.
Look at this slide! Yes, I went on it.
Mason making friends with a cast member.
And more climbing...
Then it was time for Finding Nemo the musical.
I loved the bubbles.
Maxer chose this as his nap time.
We headed to the Kali River Rapids to cool off in the late afternoon. Here's Mason chilling with Pop.
Here we come!
Granny stayed the dryest, I got wet, but this guy beside me (in red) got SOAKED! I chose my seat wisely.
We caught a glimpse of the Mickey's Jamboree Parade.
Then we capped off a great day with "It's Tough To Be A Bug." Surprisingly, this one scared me a bit. I did NOT like the grasshopper!
All in all, it was a terrific day. Stay tuned, tomorrow we head to Magic Kingdom. I hear we have a bit of a pirate surprise tomorrow!
