The Creature Teacher

My cousin, Garrett, had his birthday party yesterday. It was an animal party! It was so cool.

Look at this snake cake!

This lady named the Creature Teacher came and brought us lots of animals to play with.

Like a crab (I did NOT want to touch this one)

Here is the birthday boy with a gecko.

The Creature Teacher asked lots of questions and told us all about the animals.

I was not too sure about touching this one either.

African bullfrog. This one weighed one pound, but the Creature Teacher said when he was a grown bullfrog, he would weigh over 4-5 pounds. He was so big!

This is a chinchilla. It was SO soft! It is the second softest animal (next to the sea otter). When you touched it, it was like you were touching nothing.

I really liked the chinchilla.

We got to see the chinchilla take a bath. The Creature Teacher told us that the chinchilla only has to bathe once a week for 5 minutes, and he gets to bathe in stuff that mimics volcanic ash. I love bath time, but that is SO unfair!

This is a hairless guinea pig--or a skinny pig!

It was funny looking.

I wasn't too sure about it, but I touched it.

This is a baby parrot. She can sound just like the Creature Teacher's alarm clock (even at 1 in the morning). :)

It was almost my turn to touch her and then....

It jumped off the Creature Teacher's arm right by me!

I definitely touched this one. I told Mommy I wanted one, but she said NO!!!!
